WhatsApp may soon be adding the Passcode feature, to protect your chats
Way-back in April, WhatsApp introduced the end-to-end encryption to prevent third parties from reading or seeing your chat messages.
Despite that, WhatsApp is also planning to include the Passcode feature for maximum security. It was discovered that even with the end-to-end encryption, yet, spies still read other peoples chat messages on WhatsApp, without the owner's authorization.
But Anyway, that's about to stop, because, as at now, WhatsApp is testing the Passcode feature on their platform, and any-moment from now, it might live on WhatsApp.
According to a report by Android Authority, the passcode feature will include a six-digit-pin that will allow the user login their WhatsApp account.
It was spotted on WhatsApp translation Programs, where we saw strings such as, 'Enter the current six-digit password', 'Passcodes don't match. Try again', and 'Enter a recovery email address'.

Thre recovery part is optional, it is only there to help users who forgot their passkey and weren't able to access their account. So, with that option, users will be able to get have acess and back-in their account.
