NCC warns Nigerians, to stop using Sub-standard phones

NCC says Nigerians to stop the use of Sub-standard phones

Alot of people, most especially Nigerians, complains about poor Network or No Network coverage, unauthorized deduction of their airtime, not able to recieve calls and other assumed Network related problems.

NCC says, "Consumers should use the handsets outlined in our manual as they have been certified to be efficient for telecommunication usages."
“Many consumers complain that their data and credit are illegally deducted by service providers but they should understand that smart phones have various complex attributes."
“Smartphones should be switched-off when not in use as they automatically upgrade themselves and can deduct data in the process.”

Fine, we know Network Operators in Nigeria aren't trust-worthy but do you know your phone also contributes to all the issued complaints above? Yes, it does.

Sub-standard phones sold usually update it'self and this could lead to airtime deduction. Alot of un-authorized commands happens on the phone without even the owner's notice, alot!

So it's high time you stop using sub-standard phones to prevent all this problems.
