DStv said to reduce Subscription Price in Some African Countries

According to multiChoice, DStv subscriptions in some African countries ( like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Mozambique) will be reduced. The reduction process is said to commence on the first week of September.

MultiChoice also said the subscription slash will not be equal in all countries; like Kenya , the subscribers will get between 5% to 37% reduction in their monthly subscription. While as for Uganda, their subscribers will be getting a 30% reduction. Mozambique subscribers will be getting a slash in their DStv Portuguese packages which includes DStv Bue, DStv Grande +, DStv Grande will also be reduced.

Further more, countries that would be undergoing reduction in their DStv monthly subscription would not be having the same reduction rate; as every country have different foreign exchange rates, local taxes and other factors that distinguishes them.

As of April, StarTimes reduced their subscription for customers in Kenya, as the company strategy seems to be working as they are gradually taking charge of the market.. And MultiChoice are not letting in to such competitors, as DStv Subscriptions are quite enormous compared to that of their competitors.

Question of the day! Is MultiChoice also planning on extending the slash of DStv subscription to other countries, such as Nigeria, Ghana, e.tc ? What do you think? Drop your comments below!
