How to check and confirm your SIM card registeration status to avoid been blocked by NCC

For the very first time in Nigeria Telecommunication history, the Nigerian Government is giving a precised number of unregistered SIM cards in the country, according to the Federal Ministry of Communication, Dr. Isa Patanmi, the country is said to have had an estimate of 9.2 Million unregistered SIM cards.

Federal Ministry of Communication, Dr. Isa Patanmi has directed Nigerian Communicating Commission (NCC) to get set in blocking all unregistered SIM cards or SIM cards that has not been registered with maximum information pertaining to who the subscriber or customer is.

In order for you not get blocked by NCC I have come with a list of the available codes to check and confirm your registration status to be sure if your SIM card data requires an addition information.

How to Confirm and check your SIM Card Registration Status

For MTN subscribers - dial *789*1#

For Airtel subscribers - dial *746#

For 9Mobile subscribers - dial 746 or 200

For Glo subscribers - Text REG to 746 or 3456
