Nokia brand license HMD Global has just launched a new smartphone, Nokia C1. The phone was launched on the 11th of December, 2019. This is the first phone from the company without a number based branding.

The name of the phone might sound familiar to some of you, but just incase you have forgotten, "Nokia C1" was first launched in 2008". The 2019 version is an Android based phone.

Nokia C1 comes in two color options, Red and Blue. The phone runs Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and a 2500mAh Li-Ion removable.

As for the camera, Nokia C1 comes with a 5MP back camera with f/2.4 aperture. While on the front surface, it spots another 5MP camera specifically made for selfies. The both camera ( front and back) supports flash.

Nokia C1 comes with a 5.45-inch FWVGA + IPS display with 480 by 960 screen resolution. The phone brings to the table a 1GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory expandable upto 64GB via MicroSD card.

Unfortunately, Nokia C1 wouldn't be supporting 4G LTE. But fair enough, you have 3G at your disposal. Other connectivity of Nokia C1 includes; 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 2.0 MicroUSB, GPS. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

The phone has been launched in Kenya and is set to reach the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific Region. As for the pricing, you can get the Nokia C1 for just 6,000 Kenyan Shilling (about N21,180 in Nigeria.)
