Data pricing on MTN is becoming cheaper everyday.. From the looks of it, who knows, one day we might all just able browse free with paying any dime. Lol! I rest my case until that very day.

MTN has just introduced a new offer that gives you a whooping 5GB for 1000 Naira. MTN calls this "Super Data Offer". It's quite cheap, but it's just so unfortunate that the offer isn't for every MTN subscriber.

Asides from the usual data bundles, It's no longer news that all MTN cheap data offers (the likes of Welcome Back Data Offer, MTN My Offer, MTN4ME e.t.c) always seems to come with eligibility restrictions, some of which we don't even know the criteria to be eligible..Just like what we have here, MTN Super Data Offer.

How to activate MTN 5GB for N1000

It's very simple. All you have to do is first dial *567*143# and reply with 1. If you are eligible, you will get an SMS saying;

While if you are not eligible, you will receive an SMS saying;

MTN Super Data 5GB for N1000 Offer

You would be wondering why you are dialing the USSD code before even recharging upto N1000 airtime on your line. You are doing this to confirm if you are eligible or not, so you wouldn't have to bother purchasing airtime because of an offer that isn't eligible for you. But if it turns out that you are eligible for the offer, you know what to do.

  • Recharge your line with N1000 airtime
  • Then dial *567*143# and reply with 1 to activate the plan
  • To check your data balance, dial *131*4#

NOTE: The data is valid for 14 days
